Shaun Cleaver

Shaun Cleaver is a physiotherapist and Steinberg Global Health Postdoctoral Fellow at McGill University. Shaun has conducted research together with Zambians with disabilities since 2013. Since that time, this research has evolved from perspectives of disability to focus more on Zambian disability-related public policy. For Shaun, the humanities provide a way to think more clearly about society and well-being and apply this thinking to his role as a rehabilitation professional.

About the JHR

The Journal for the Humanities in Rehabilitation is a peer reviewed, multi-media journal using a collaborative model with rehabilitation professionals, patients and their families to gain a greater understanding of the human experience of disability through art, literature and narrative. The purpose of this interdisciplinary journal is to raise the consciousness and deepen the intellect of the humanistic relationship in the rehabilitation sciences.
